  • BARCELONA CIUTAT AMIGA DE LA GENT GRAN

    Summary: T his project is based in the World Health Organization initiative Age friendly cities of creating a world network of cities that approach population aging in urban environments and that promote active and healthy aging. The Institut is an academic partner of the project, jointly with the Ajuntament de Barcelona (Direcció Participació Social, Regidoria d’Acció Social i Ciutadania) an the Consell Assessor de la Gent Gran de Barcelona. The main focus of the project is the active participation of the elderly as major figure of the needed changes in their environment: taking into account their needs, perceptions and opinions about the several fields that make up their daily lives in the city

  • PLATAFORMA E-HEALTH PARA UN ENVEJECIMIENTO SALUDABLE

    Summary: Design and trial support of an teleassistance and telecare integrated expert system for prevention of dependence and promotion of personal autonomy of the aged living in the community.


  • AUTONOMY AND DEPENDENCE CARE PROMOTION TRAINING PLAN

    Summary: Strategic and operative planning of the training catering to the promotion of autonomy and care of the dependent people. This training is aimed to social service and health care professionals, service providers, as well as dependent people, informal caregivers and representative associations.


  • ACTIVE AGING PROMOTION GUIDE FOR FACILITES FOR THE ELDERLY

    Summary: Creation of a working paper from the collective reflection and experience exchange between local technical staff of the province of Barcelona. The paper is aimed to intervention, offering general recommendations, organisation model options or specific guides for interventions aimed at steer the management of facilities towards active ageing promotion.


  • AGING RESOURCE CENTER IN SANT BOI DE LLOBREGAT

    Summary: Strategic design for the creation of a Resource, Information and Training Center aimed at the elderly, professionals, association and people interested in the practice, research and training of active aging. The center will cater for the needs of the population and the services of the city of Sant Boi de Llobregat, but in the future it may cover a wider area.

  • STUDY OF THE NEEDS OF THE ELDERLY LIVING ALONE IN SANT BOI

    Summary: Joint study with the Sant Boi City Council in which the situation and social needs fo the elderly living alone in town are analyzed using 400 surveys made in the homes of elderly citizens.


  • FACTORES DE LOS EQUIPAMIENTOS SOCIOCULTURALES PARA EL ENVEJECIMIENTO ACTIVO EN L'HOSPITALET DE LLOBREGAT

    Resum: Estudio sobre los factores que inciden en la participación de las personas mayoresen los equipamientos socioculturales del municipio de L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. Las distintas percepciones se reojen teniendo en cuenta las variables territorio y género, en la realización de entrevistas con expertos y representantes de asociaciones de personas mayores; grupos focales con personas mayores que participan en equipamientos públicos de la ciudad (casales, bibliotecas, polidportivos y centros culturales) y para los resultados de 48 encuestas a pie de calle en personas que no participan en actividades.
