- TASK
FORCE ON NUTRITION IN THE ELDERLY OF THE IAGG EUROPEAN REGION

Summary: Our Institute is coordinating this task force on nutrition
in the elderly on behalf on the IAGG-ER. The aim is to assess the state
of the art, to detect possible gaps in knowledge and to draw future
research directions on four related themes: epidemiology of nutrition
in the elderly, the relationship between nutrition and the frailty (or
pre-disability) status, the screening and assessment of poor nutrition,
and the interventions to prevent and treat poor nutrition in older adults,
either community-dwellers or more care dependant.

is a collaborative network of researchers in over 20 countries committed
to improving health care for persons who are elderly, frail, or disabled.
Our goal is to promote evidence-based clinical practice and policy decisions
through the collection and interpretation of high quality data about
the characteristics and outcomes of persons served across a variety
of health and social services settings.

- REIACTIS
Summary: REIACTIS – the International
Network on Age, Citizenship and Socio-economic Integration – is an academic
forum that acts both as a ‘network of networks’ and a specialized think
tank on ageing- and citizenship-related issues with the goal of bringing
together, on an international scale, the intellectual and material resources
required to carry out research in this domain. Its research framework
is not confined to data collection but takes a three-dimensional approach.

WHOQOL group is an international collaboration of medical, health and
